Yes, I know, we’ve been talking about the “buzzword” for a while, but I am just as guilty of this, especially when it comes to “desktop” applications. Desktop applications are very important if your primary goal is to make money. A lot of companies make money by sending people into the office to work on their desktop applications. It is a very effective way to make money that has been around for a while, but it has lost a lot of its appeal.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Desktop applications have become more and more important over the last few years. They can make you more productive and save you money. Many people don’t realize that, and I’ve been guilty of this myself. I started out wanting a desktop application that did essentially the same thing as my web browser but for less money. I was looking for something that would allow me to do an online accounting thing.
Web browsers are wonderful, and they’ve been amazing for me. But I can see the appeal of desktop applications, even if they’re designed, built, and coded by different people… and this is why desktop applications are quickly losing their appeal. We’re all too used to the idea that we just use the browser, we don’t think about the software, and it makes us feel lazy and overwhelmed when we do.
So how about making the user experience better in the browser, and then allowing the user to interact with the program in a graphical environment? That lets you use the program in the way you want to, like in a virtual office, or in a video game. And it lets you use the program in a way you don’t see in a browser.
I think a program like this would be extremely useful in the gaming industry. Imagine your web page being used as a video game screen that you can interact with with your mouse or by using your keyboard. Or you could put your web page on a computer and then use a game console or video game console, like a PlayStation, to play that game. Imagine you were using that computer as your own video game environment.
And the real meat of the story is when the Visionaries start hunting the lone survivor of the previous day. This time around they’ve taken a few of the remaining Visionaries down with them, and are leaving the survivor in the middle of the island to die. Colt then comes to the rescue and kills them all. The survivors are left only one survivor, and this is where the game gets really interesting.
The survivor is a girl called Zander. She’s very tough and very strong, but her entire body is covered with scars. It seems her body is holding on to memories of what happened to her the previous day. The real world is a very foreign place for her, because she’s not really in the body that we remember her in. Our story is her trying to find a way to remember what happened the previous day. Her biggest problem is that she doesn’t know what happened.
She doesnt know the “real” world. So we play around with the idea that her last known memories are of her being in the body of a girl, and her being cut and bleeding. That way, her mind will be able to “think” in a graphical environment. This is an interesting change of pace for a game and can be seen as a small step towards what we hope is a more mature game with less violence.

However, it is a game with the same general story that is about the main story, so it will probably be able to fit into the main game seamlessly.
