And we may not realize it, but we are beasts of prey. The mind that has been made to think with, the mind that has been made to feel with, the mind that has been made to act with, and the mind that has been made to feel with all of our other natural instincts are all different beasts.
I believe this is what is happening when you have an animal consciousness. You have this mind that is made to feel with, act with, and be made to feel with all of your other instincts (or the instincts we are not capable of feeling). I have had the feeling that I have to kill my dog because I never thought he was capable of killing me, and I still have to kill my dog because I don’t think he’s capable of killing me.
I believe it is because we have to kill our dogs for a very similar reason to killing ourselves. We feel with animals and they feel with us. It is a very primal thing.
This is one of the more fun parts of Deathloop. There’s always a pack of vicious dogs ready to tear your throat out and get their paws on you. And if you look like you’re going to die, they’ll kill you.
The game is not only a dog-killing simulator, it is a dog-killing simulator for humans as well. The goal for the dogs is to wipe all of your DNA from all of your organs before you die, which would make you very tough, but also very human. The game has a lot of very clever and effective gameplay that I really can’t wait to play more.

Okay, sounds like the dog-killing simulator for animals. I’m not sure if that’s the point of the game though. Perhaps the devs were just trying to make the game seem as brutal as possible. In the trailer, you can see the dog being hit in the face with a shotgun, and then being shot in the head. Apparently you can get a human to do the same, but then you’re supposed to be an animal.
