What I like about this restaurant is that they actually cook things. I can actually picture myself eating here. They have the best crab cakes, the best lobster rolls, the best fish tacos, the best deep-fried fish tacos, and of course the best, best fish tacos.
One of my favorite places to eat in Irvine is Capital Seafood, and they have a new menu item called Capital Seafood Classic, which is basically what Capital Seafood is. The only difference is that this version of the classic will only be available as a special. I am not sure I understand the appeal of this place as a dining experience. Sure, the fish is fresh, but is it really worth the price? I mean, I like to get my fish from a local market, but it seems like a waste of money to pay a restaurant to deliver your fresh fish to you.
In my opinion, the place is great, and I can’t say I’ve ever tried any of their dishes. But you have to realize that the “fish” are actually the same day-old, fresh, and frozen fish that was bought from a local market. The fish is not fresh when they are brought to the restaurant, they are “cooked” in a microwave.

You wouldn’t know it from the online reviews, but you will find that fish is the new black in the food arena. In fact, the best one Ive eaten in my life was a few months ago at the city of Irvine.
