It’s a common misconception that denitrification (or denitrification for short) is a problem when it comes to bacteria. To understand denitrification, you need to understand some terms. In the first place, bacteria are microorganisms. They are generally tiny, microscopic organisms, called bacteria. There are roughly 100 trillion bacteria in the oceans on average, and if you remove all the food, water, and oxygen they would grow into huge masses of dead bacteria.
Most of us aren’t aware that the most common bacteria found on the surface of water is the bacillus. It is a red, non-toxic, and very effective bacterium. It is also the sole inhabitant of surface water. It forms a single colony that lives in a watery environment that surrounds it.
Scientists have created a novel “bactericide” that kills all bacteria without harming the plant, animal, or fish they are intended to protect. This new bactericide is called denitrifying bacteria (DNB) and is made by researchers in the Netherlands and Switzerland.
DNB kills bacteria in the water and can be used to kill other bacteria in the environment. It is created by adding a small amount of a substance called NO to water. NO is the nitrogen gas that the bacteria uses to grow. NO is also the one substance that the scientists believe will be the most effective way to kill all bacteria.
The idea behind DNB is that it can kill the growth of virtually all bacteria. Even the ones that are known to be harmful, like E. coli bacteria.
The fact that Switzerland is now a DNB-free zone has made me a bit excited. It suggests a lot about the future of water treatment and how we can all work together to make it a safer place to drink and swim. I mean, I’m not saying this is a bad idea. I think it’s a good idea. I just think that the science behind it is lacking.
In fact, there is no science behind it. It’s just a fancy buzzword that we can’t really figure out what it means. But what we do know is that the bacteria that are being “denitrified” are bacteria that are known to be harmful and that they multiply and grow in a “bacterial community” that is very easily spread from water to water.
Denitrifying bacteria are the same bacteria that would normally be found in a dirty toilet. They grow in an environment that has a higher pH level or higher dissolved chemicals than in a clean environment. They are found in water that is being used in the production of certain paints and in water that is being used for drinking and for swimming.
