I remember in our first episode, I mentioned that I was a little concerned that I wasn’t paying enough attention to the news. Well, I’m glad I’m not.
In the age of the Internet, we have become so inundated with noise, it’s not uncommon to see articles with as many as 50 words in them. Sadly, when the words in these articles are actually worth reading, they are often full of inaccuracies or outright lies. In my opinion, the internet is the best source of news for most people.

One of the great things about the Internet is it has become so common to get your pages ranked on Google, this is because Google is so good at finding out what people want to look at. All you have to do is sit around and Google it, and the best results will appear. Google also gives you the ability to manipulate your ranking if you want to. You can make a blog look more important than it really is, for example.
In fact, Google recently announced a new ranking system that will help you do this. It’s called “PageRank,” and it basically says that all the pages that link to a given page will tend to rank higher in Google. The more links, the higher you rank. Like many other SEO tools, PageRank is only good for search engines, not for your own website. Google is probably the most popular search engine, so you’re probably going to have a much harder time getting PageRank to work for your own website. But the good news is that not all SEO tools are created equal, and you can still get a lot more mileage out of PageRank than you would with other SEO tools.
I like to use Pagerank in Google Analytics, and it gives me a lot more information about how people are searching for keywords – both the general keywords and the specific keywords that people search for. My favorite is the “search volume” report, which gives a picture of the amount of traffic Google sees for a keyword.
Since PageRank is a lot more useful than just the search volume report, I can also use it in Google Webmaster Tools. In Webmaster Tools, I can click on the red “Webmaster” tool icon to display data like search volume, page authority (the amount of backlinks), and the most popular keywords. I can also export all of those data and import into a spreadsheet for further analysis.
The most popular keyword is also the one that is the most popular search term in Google. It’s a small percentage of the total number of keywords associated with that specific keyword in Google. This is very important, because if you go back to Google, there’s a lot of that traffic that doesn’t have the keywords. This is why it’s more like a giant graph of traffic for a keyword.
