Hogwarts is a big place with many rooms and secrets. One question that often comes up among Harry Potter fans is “How many staircases does Hogwarts have?” There are over 170 staircases in the castle, but only one common entrance to the building. The wizarding world has recently been introduced to Muggles, so we decided to take a look at what they see when they look at it from their perspective!
The Muggles see Hogwarts as a very old and ruined castle, with lots of stairs. One thing that they probably notice is the difference between the top and bottom halves- there are more stairs at the front than in the back, which makes it look like two different buildings! It’s so weird! There are also many towers on one side of them. When people come to visit from our world, those staircases will be outfitted to make them accessible for everyone. This way Muggles can experience all Hogwarts has to offer too!
There were plenty of students when Harry attended school at Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry but these days around 450 currently attend classes here each year. All wizards must have their acceptance letter and be of age before they can attend Hogwarts.
In conclusion, there are four staircases in Hogwarts – two up at the front side (one leading to the first floor) and one on each side of the entrance hall which lead to different floors within Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry such as Potions Classroom or Defense Against Dark Arts Classroom. Muggles only see what is outside from a distance but wizards not only get to see all that it has to offer inside too like moving staircases! How many staircases does Hogwarts have?
One staircase on each floor leads up from the ground level into the different areas within it – such as Potions Classroom or Defense Against Dark Arts Classroom (two floors). The first four years at Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are spent in one building but they then move onto their choice subjects: Charms Classroom, Herbology Greenhouse, Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom…etc.
It is not clear how many floors are in Hogwarts. The first floor, or Ground Floor as it may also be called, contains the entrance hall with its famous marble staircase and front doors that open into the Entrance Courtyard to which you can see from outside of Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Once inside, on your right-hand side, there will be a lamppost where the barrier between Muggles (non-magic folk) and non-Muggleborn wizards exists: this is what they would see when looking at our castle! There are four staircases – two per level – within Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for students to use throughout their time here.
The second floor has classrooms, including the Potions classroom and Snape’s dungeon.
The third floor has Charms classrooms, Defence Against The Dark Arts classroom and also includes a lecture hall where students can take Divination lessons with Professor Trelawney… etc.
Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is home to many magical artifacts that are housed within its walls – some more dangerous than others! Students have been given permission by recent headmasters (Dumbledore) or mistresses (McGonagall) to be able to use carefully selected items from these collections in their classes as part of their curriculum. So if they want them for Transfiguration class? They’ll need Dumbledore’s say-so first…..etc.
The Chamber of Secrets was a secret, underground passageway and hidden chamber under Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the Chamber is located in the second-floor girls’ lavatory – which has been out of bounds since 1938 when it was first opened by Mr. Riddle (Tom Marvolo Riddle), who would later become Lord Voldemort.
There are four floors at Hogwarts that Muggles can see: ground level, third level, fourth level, fifth level. Hogwarts houses around one thousand students during an average school year – this includes all seven years with both Triwizard Champions and their families staying for over half the year.
