The insurgents can get more and more recruits, they can get more and more money and they can just be more and more powerful. It’s not a good situation for the government either, because it means that the government has to work harder to try to contain the insurgency and to put pressure on the insurgency.
The situation is no different for the Taliban. In the case of the Taliban, their situation is the same because the insurgency is much stronger now. The only difference is that the insurgents are better at killing the government in Pakistan.
