With all this self-affirming in-your-face advice, I’m not sure I can get through this chapter without a little bit of self-awareness. I think we can go from here with a clear statement about what you need to do.
Yes, self-awareness. It’s not something that’s going to happen overnight. It’s going to take time, dedication, and a lot of practice. But there’s a lot of information out there that can help you become more self-aware.

Yeah, I was just talking to a developer about his self-awareness. I was also going to ask the dev about the importance of self-awareness, but didn’t get time to finish the interview.
The important thing about self-awareness is that it’s the ability to know that you are aware and that you can be aware. It’s not a feeling that comes with awareness of your surroundings and what’s around you. So, self-awareness is really the ability to know how you’re being affected by your surroundings, and how you can create, alter, or change this awareness.
I think all of us can agree that self-awareness is a pretty darn important thing to have. A lot of people, but usually the younger ones, are so overwhelmed by social media and their various life experiences that they often forget this simple fact. And we all are aware that our surroundings have an impact on our feelings and behavior. A very common experience for people with self-awareness is when we have a bad day or something, we get so angry or frustrated that we turn violent.
Anger is not always a bad thing, but sometimes it’s a very bad thing. That’s especially true for those who have experienced trauma, or have a history of violence or any kind of abuse. It comes to the forefront when we’re not even aware of what we’re feeling. The anger can last for hours, and sometimes for days.
I have no problem being angry at anyone, I just don’t care. If I see a new person I can probably feel it so I don’t have to do anything.
I’ve experienced a lot of emotions and feelings in the past and feel it now.
