The tech director at our company is currently making $85k. We’re not breaking this number down by number of years of experience, but I’m sure it’s been a long time since he has been a full-time employee.
The CEO of our company is a self-described “sophisticated” guy who has a lot of “tech” in him. You probably want to know how much he spends on tech and why he doesn’t spend his time on tech. He’s also an actual, former tech director, and we wanted to get a feel of his past.
For that we spoke to the guy who worked with him for several years. He said that he didnt spend any time working in tech, but he did spend time in sales and marketing. His main problem was the fact that they didnt make the sales team very tech savvy, he said. The main reason he made the transition from tech manager to CEO was that he loved tech, and he wanted to help make the tech department better. He said he doesnt think he will stick around in tech forever.
