What many of us don’t realize is that our environment plays a vital role in how we feel. Our clothes, our home, our furniture, our appliances, the air we breathe, even our skin all play a role in how we feel. There are levels of consciousness we need to be aware of. We need to have some awareness before we touch our face, before we sit in our car, before we stand up in line at a restaurant.
While we are conscious of these different aspects of ourselves, most of the rest of our body is not. So if you are a person who wants to feel good about yourself, you will need to be aware that your house is a part of that. By having more awareness of your surroundings you will be able to notice the difference between being a couch-sitting zombie and a couch-sitting robot. Many people are afraid of feeling bad about themselves. But by really paying attention and listening to your own body you can be assured that you will always feel good about yourself. We are all going to be more productive at some point. But for most of us, the thought of our productivity decreasing is something to worry about. It is a major issue for our productivity when our productive time is spent in some way that is not productive.
The idea of productivity isnt about being productive in all dimensions of your life. Like most things, productivity can vary from person to person. To be productive, you need to be productive with your own work, your own time, and your own energy. When you are productive, you are productive.
